the story behind Lady Social ✿

This started with YouTube tutorials and turned into a full-on passion project. 

Let’s rewind to 2015 — the year I accidentally fell in love with beauty. I was glued to YouTube, watching skincare hauls and makeup tutorials like it was my job (and eventually, it kind of became one 😅).

By 2016, I was applying for beauty jobs and landed my first role at a small company where I helped clients with haircare, skincare, and makeup. It was fun, it was cute, and it taught me a lot — but after three years, I was ready for more.

 I learned about domains, email marketing, and stress... all in one go. 

In January 2020, I launched my own online beauty supply store - "Reigning Beauty". It was my baby — and it taught me everything about running a digital business. Hosting, email blasts, website building — you name it, I tried it.

The store grew moderately, and while I was passionate, the reality was… it wasn’t sustainable full-time. So I kept my 9-5 while side-hustling my heart out.

Two jobs, one tired girl, and a flaming desire to be helpful. 

In 2019, I began working at a private medical clinic. With my background in medical office assistance, it felt like a natural fit. Balancing that with my beauty biz? Let’s just say sleep and I were not close during this era.

Eventually, my store had to take a backseat (temporarily, of course). But the knowledge I gained from working in healthcare gave me so many insights — from mental wellness to daily habits that actually make a difference. And yes, I stayed in that role for three years too. I like to commit 😌 (or do I...?)

 I wanted financial freedom… so I studied like it was an exam. 

Next came an in-house accounting role at the same company. Yep — I switched lanes again. And it sparked something new in me: a fascination with all things finance and freedom.

I started diving into digital marketing, affiliate income, SEO, content creation — the whole online business toolkit. I even took a course to deepen my knowledge. The more I learned, the more I knew this was the space for me.

 I want flexibility, creativity, and to never fight traffic again.  

 While my accounting job pays the bills, I know in my soul it’s not my forever. I want freedom. Flexibility. A chance to work remotely and build something of my own.

That’s when Lady Social was born — my digital diary and lifestyle space where I combine everything I love:
→ Beauty
→ Wellness
→ Finance
→ Real-life ramblings
→ And a sprinkle of chaos for good measure 💅

 I created the blog I’ve always wanted to read.   

I wanted to build a space that felt like a FaceTime call with your favorite friend — unfiltered, uplifting, a little messy, but always real. Whether I’m talking about flamingoes, adulting fails, or how to romanticize your Tuesday, I hope you feel seen here.
